Love this lifecycle learning kit by joycat. The figurines are very durable, and can be used for many different activities! The flash cards are double sided, pictures on one side with some facts on the other. We are a homeschooling family, and find this very beneficial for my 4 year old!

Overall, I really think that this is a good learning tool for the price. This is mainly due to the nice little plastic models that are great for hands-on exploration, and the cards that guide students through the different stages. However, the designers should have hired someone competent in the English language to help write and edit the backs of the cards. I've included an example here of words that are run together, but there are also some problems in word choice, such as describing bee pupae as going through "magical changes."I would buy this set again, but that's due to the strength of the models and photos, not the descriptions; they're not truly inaccurate, just poorly edited. I'd advise using this set along with good books on life cycles, such as those in the Let's-Read-And-Find-Out science series.

This is a fantastic set! My youngest is learning about life cycles in school, & this set demonstrates different life cycles so well. I love that there are multiple life cycles represented, four total: butterflies, lady bugs, frogs, & honey bees.The pieces all feel well made & are great representations of the animals/stages depicted. The wood base is laid out so clearly, so it's easy to understand. This is a great learning tool, & a hit with my kids!
