My kid really took to this puzzle. She quickly grasped the concept of using the abacus section to figure out the numbers on the cubes. She enjoys challenging herself by randomly moving the beads and then trying to determine their count. It's great to see her so engaged and actively learning, making this toy not only a source of fun but also a valuable educational tool for her.

What I like:
1. Only one extraneous variable (colors), the focus is mostly on counting.
2. Sturdy
3. Pleasant to look at.
What I don't like:
1. Some paint was missing on some pieces
2. Some residue down in some of the number block slots
3. Colors - I don't want random paint on my child's things, I don't trust a seller who merely says "it's not toxic, trust me!" No, words are cheap. The colors are also meaningless with regard to counting, just distracting. Just use a CNC laser to burn the dots, numbers, and letters - no paint!
I think if you wipe these off with some gentle cleaning solution, and the child doesn't put any of these blocks in their mouth, it's a good tool for learning to count with the guidance of an older child or adult. I hope the manufacturer will make the changes I suggest, though; it would make it a much better product.

One of the things I like about this type of toy is that it works on motor skills as well as introducing math concepts. Unlike several things you find that claim to be real wood, this actually is. And the multiple ways to work with colors and numbers means different ways to keep kids entertained.

The wood is very sturdy and hopefully will hold up to little hands playing and learning numbers and colors. At the top section there is a metal bar that has 10 wooden green beads for sliding along the bar for counting. At the bottom there is 11 removable wooden blocks. On one side has numbers on it ranging from 0 to 10. On the other side has the word of the number printed on it. On the inside of each hole has a dot per what the number of each block is, so that when putting the block of each number back into its hole it will match up. Except the 0 does not have a dot inside of its hole. Each number is a different color that matches up with the color of dots per each hole. Very bright colors. So a child can learn their numbers and colors.
Packaging: It came in a nice box. Had plastic wrap around the game inside of the box.
