JoyCat magnetic alphabet fishing game is quite nice. I am a Pre-K teacher and this is perfect as a teaching resource. The wooden box has a magnetic hold sliding lid where all the items can be neatly stored with ample room so kids could independently put these away. It comes with 2 fishing poles so kids can play with a friend. The colors and detail of the fish are well done. Each fish has a capital letter on one side and lower on the other. This is perfect for Pre-K level where kids can match the uppercase into it's spot on the board and turn each around to begin to learn their lowercase letters. Students could also match colors with this. The pole magnets are strong and hold the fish well. The lid has a printed inside which becomes a pond when flipped. This is where the fish can be randomly placed to start the fun. This game is colorful and engaging. I did note that if you lay the fish down like they are swimming in the water it is quite challenging to catch one coming straight down with your magnetic end on the pole. When the fish are standing up they are easy to catch on the pole as the magnets face each other. Great look, great game, great quality. I highly recommend this for your 3-5 year old students. It does not disappoint.

This game is made of solid wood, it's sturdy and very well made! It looks nice and presentable in its original packaging so you could easily give it as a gift. The game itself is a box, the game board part slides nicely into the grooves of the bottom half which holds all the pieces. It comes with directions, 2 magnetic fishing poles, and four colors of fish with the alphabet in them. The magnets are strong and attract very easily. I like that two can play at this together, and I love the bright bold colors. The child I bought this for loves fish and we are currently learning letters and sounds, so this is a great fit! It will keep him happy for quite awhile and we will be playing it often! I would recommend this game for ages 3-7.

I ordered this for my three grandsons, ages 4, 3, and 1. They love it! It is a fun way to work on letter recognition, we say what letter is on the fish after it caught before placing it on the board in the matching space. It is also good for hand eye coordination and fine motor skills. The only thing that could make this better would be if we could get two extra fishing poles, then it would be perfect.

We are using this toy to help my toddler with her letter recognition. It comes with its own case which is wonderful for keeping all the pieces together. The fish have both the lowercase and uppercase letters. It comes with two fishing poles which is perfect for playing with others. The fish do have to be standing upright because of the magnet parts so it needs to be played on a level surface. Good quality wood and design!
