These are fun markers, similar to the ones I had growing up. The colored side has a broad chisel tip, although you can get a fine line by angling the marker on the shorter side. The color lays down smoothly, and does not skip. It will soak through thinner paper, so be mindful of that.The clear side is almost like an eraser - it makes the color lighter where you apply it on top of the colored ink. The exception is the yellow one, where it doesn't get lighter, but changes to purple! The color change is noticeable and distinct. The clear tip is a fine-medium point, so you can get some finer work out of it.A good thing I noticed: the clear tip from any color marker works with any of the other colors, and they all produce the same result with the color. So if you run out or lose one, you can use the clear tip with any of the remaining markers.

These JoyCat color changing Highlighter pens are super cool! I have never used anything like these before so they were fun to play with and it comes in a pack of 10 so there are a ton of them to play with.They write on the thicker side which was fine for me but wanted to point that out. Come with tons of cool, vibrant colors.Great product.

I have been very happy with these pens. I got them for my kids for Christmas, and they've gotten a lot of use since then, (and are still in great shape). Vibrant colors, and a lot of fun to use!

My kindergarten students love to use these color changing markers. They have turned my most reluctant writers into loving writing and handwriting when they use these. I even used it as a tool to write letters in their name and then the student would trace over to practice handwriting and change the color. They were so engaged!
